Fireproof. Waterproof. Peace of Mind. MnemoGuard is the ultra-secure metal plate built to safeguard your crypto mnemonic phrase, ensuring your digital assets are always protected.
People are usually storing their private stuff in plain sight, is your wallet really safe?
MnemoGuard is designed specificly to help you store your mnemonic keys permanently. Usually mnemonic keys are stored on a piece of paper or in some digital format, that way they are always at risk of being destroyed or lost.
Wouldn't it be amazing if you could store your passphrases for centuries, always protected from natural influence or getting compromised? We designed MnemoGuard to do exactly that.
Your BIP39 will always be protected, especially with our seeding system which will protect your wallet even if MnemoGuard is stolen.
We all heard stories of people losing their wallets, as a team of crypto enthusiasts we also know people in our surrounding that had some bad experience with their wallets getting lost.
We wanted to create some solid and robust way of keeping your wallet information for a long period of time.
The main problem was storing the mnemonic keys. Paper writing can fade away with years, or worse the paper can be destroyed. Putting your trust in electronic devices can also be risky due to short circuits, cyber attacks and other disasters.
With that in mind we developed a tool that can withstand that and provide an extra layer of security.
We suggest using MnemoGuard as an additional layer of security and not completely relying on it.
Each word in your 12-word phrase gets assigned a unique number based on its position within a standardized list called BIP39.
Your mnemonic keys are stored as BCD8421 on your mnemoguard plate, where every number is represented as one binary number.
For example if your mnemonic word cherry has index of 316 you would BCD8421
encode it it as 0316 (0 -> 0000, 3 -> 0011, 1 -> 0001, 6 -> 0110)
If you wish you can add some unique number to the index of the word and take your encryption to the next level. Lets say your mnemonic word is cherry with index of 316 and we add number 18 to it so we get 334 which now represents mnemonic word claim.
So if you ever lose your MnemoGuard, whoever decrypts it will get the wrong words unless they know your secret number which you used to "salt" your keys.
Additionally, you can alter the matrix orientation (vertical or horizontal) for an extra layer of obfuscation.
Manual encoding
Write down the your 12-word recovery phrase.
Add beside word a unique order number. Find number in the list.
If you want you can take your encryption to the next level by adding
imaginary number to your mnemonic indexes.
Convert the numbers to binary BCD8421 code.
Punch the binary code into the MnemoGuard plate.
If you wish you can add some unique number to the index of the word and take
your encryption to the next level.
Select language of your desired mnemonic key words.
Import your mnemonic keys and lock them to prevent accidental change of keys.
Print pdf and punch the binary code into your MnemoGuard plate.
After you’ve finished punching the encoded phrase, select a discreet and secure location for storing your MnemoGuard plate. Ideal locations include safes, safety deposit boxes, or hidden compartments within your home.
Double check all the words before you punch them. We highly suggest that you try to decode your keys before you punch them into your MnemoGuard plate
MnemoGuard Tool is client side only, we dont store any of your data on
our servers so your keys are completely safe!
